NYS Impaired Driver Program
Pivot offers the Impaired Driver Program (IDP) as part of New York State’s initiative to reduce the incidence of injury, disability, and death from alcohol or other drug-related motor vehicle crashes and to lessen the risk of multiple impaired driving offenses.
If you have been convicted of an alcohol or drug-related driving violation, you may be eligible for a conditional license or driving privilege if you complete New York State’s Impaired Driver’s Program (IDP). To verify your eligibility, you will need to visit your local New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
How to Enroll: Participants will need to visit their local DMV to register for the program.
Cost: $233.00* (check, money order or cash in the exact amount are accepted)

Length of Program: The program is 16 hours of classroom education held over a seven-week period. Classes range from 2 – 2 ½ hours per class.
Location: Classes for the program are held in Pivot’s Third Floor Conference Room of the Marcy Building located at 167 Polk Street, Watertown, NY, 13601 in the evening, beginning at 6:00 PM. To find out when the next class cycle begins, please contact Pivot at 315.788.4660.
Out-of-State License Holders: If you have a license from another state and are seeking to enroll in the New York State program, please contact your state of issuance to ensure the program Prime for Life meets necessary requirements
