Community Coalition: Alliance for Better Communities

The Alliance for Better Communities is a local community coalition comprised of area community members who live and work in Jefferson County. Members come from all sectors in the community with a common goal in mind: to create a safer, healthier, and drug-free community for our youth. Funded by a Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant, recognizing the concept that local problems require local solutions, the Alliance works to gather local data in order to address issues important to our community. Alliance members work to create community-level change that will reduce underage drinking and substance abuse through education, awareness, advocacy, and policy change.
